Waiting List
To sign up to our waiting list, please fill the registration form available at https://forms.gle/v1ZM2jrhKPxwU5XP8. It's very simple and can be filled in in under a minute. On submission of the form, you will receive an automated confirmation email. There is no need to contact us separately after filling in the form.
In order to keep the list manageable by our team of volunteers, Newtown Park Tennis Club reserves the right to close the waiting list without any notice.
The membership year is from May 1st to April 31st each year with the joining fee only applied in year 1.
CLARIFICATIONS AND PROCEDURES FOR NPTC MEMBERSHIP
During the past year, NPTC has been pleased to welcome a great many new members. Indeed, the number of people seeking membership continues to grow and currently the Club has 275 people on its waiting list in addition to almost 700 members.
In order to ensure that the process of attaining Club membership is as fair, open and transparent as possible, the following clarifications and procedures have been adopted by the Committee.
A member is defined as a member for the year for which that person has paid the Membership and, where applicable, Joining Fees. Once a membership lapses, that person will, except in pre-notified exceptional circumstances, become a non-member. Should that person decide to re-join, he/she will be placed on the waiting list and will, if offered a place, be required to pay the applicable Joining and Membership fees.
Early Bird Renewal subscriptions are available only to current members.
A current member may change his/her membership status from:
Junior to Student
Student to Adult
Family to Adults
Waiting lists will be compiled solely in chronological order by date of request and according to category of membership, i.e. Family, Adult, Junior, Pavilion.
A family membership shall consist of a maximum of six made up of two adults and four juniors or student members under 21 on May 1st, who are in full time education. There will be a charge for each extra junior or student member thereafter. It is proposed that grandchildren may not be included in Family memberships.
New memberships taken out after 30th of June charged on a quarterly pro-rata basis.
The membership year runs from May 1st. An ‘on-time bonus’ is operated for subscription renewals.
